Since a majority of the fleet was in service before this section area was added, most ships required a retrofit to add this section. During major retrofits, Carnival took existing space and upgraded it to the new Serenity Area. Because of that, the different Serenity Areas all have different features and layouts, but the general effect is the same.
The only kids I even noticed on board were the group of teens (8-10 of them) that decided our hallway, right outside our door was the hot party spot at about 2am.
